In this piece, Beethoven tells a story though his musical works within his 5th symphony. The main theme of the song is "out of darkness comes light. " this directly relates to the novel A Clockwork Orange with a similar theme. If one were to listen to and analyze Beethoven's 5th symphony, they would notice the tone and key changes, which flips from dark (heavy, depressing, violent music) to light (happy, uplifting, mellow keyed). Though instrumental works, Beethoven has told many of his own stories. This is one of them.
In this song, the lyrics "They claim that I'm violent Just 'cause I refuse to be silent These hypocrites are havin fits 'Cause I'm not buyin' it, defyin' it
Envious because I will rebel against any oppressor And this is known as self defense I show no mercy, they claim that I'm the lunatic" connect to the main character because they suggest the same motives and beliefs that Alex portrays. This song talks about how Alex thinks. He is rebelious to an extreme degree. Alex feels that the oppressor in his case are adults and he is rebelling against them when he commits these crimes as well as when he is directing these crimes toward adults. When him and his gang raid people's houses and when he is beating people up this is perefectly described because he and his gang really do not show any mercy to anyone and just get a thrill off of brutalizing people.

In this song, Gnarles Barkley recreates some of Alex's motives in lyrical form. Specifically, he states Alex's belief to authority; which is negative. The lyrics that specify this are : "And I hope that you are Having the time of your life But think twice That's my only advice
Come on now, who do you Who do you, who do you, who do you think you are? Ha ha ha, bless your soul You really think you're in control? " These lyrics also depic how Alex is against the way they government has taken control of his free will, in the last line when he asks, "you really think your in control?" These lyrics also go to the lesson that Alex learns at the end of the bookthat there is no way in teaching the youth from your point of view they will not listen. they instead have to learn for themselves by making their own mistakes.

Violently depicted in this song, Eminem's rap Kill you is a song about murder and death in different forms. But most importantly, it shows the same idea that Alex portrays in the beginning of the book; disrespect and hate for all, even if you are religious or have governmental authority with no chivalrous ideals. Some of the lyrics depicting these ideals are : "Texas Chainsaw, left his brains all Danglin' from his neck, while his head barely hangs on Blood, guts, guns, cuts Knives, lives, wives, nuns, sluts" These lyrics also give insight to the cruelty and shear brutality that Alex showed wen he was brutalizing people. No one was safe from him and his gang and when they finally found some one there was really no degree or line that they would not be afraid to cross. This also goes to the insanity of Alex and the way he thinks and finds pleasure in all the things he does no matter how violent and digusting they may be.
With obvious messed up beliefs and angry messages, GG Allin depicts violent messages and scenes that Alex fantasized about many times over throughout the book. These are also some of the feelings Alex gets when he listens to classical music. It shows the juvenile delinquent stereotype that Alex has made for himself.
"I wanna rape society
I wanna kill my boss I wanna kill the law
No big loss
I wanna kill the Pope
I wanna kill a Jew
I wanna destroy
Wanna kill you "
These Lyrics also reveal to the audience the way that Alex has no boundries in what he does he is willing to kill anyone. It shows his strong dislike for society and its rules. We see that through these lyrics Alex feels that he is invincible and that he is above the law. this explains the fact that he feels as though there are no repercussions for the things he does. he does not realize that there are repercussions for his actions until he sees them first hand when he encounters many of the people he has harmed at the end of the book.
